Hidden Remote Links: Week of August 7: The Top 5 TV Takeaways from 'PLL', 'Tyrant', 'Scream', 'BATB' - Plus, 'Game of Thrones'

In a compelling week of television, one show exceeded their season's midpoint (“Tyrant”) as all of the others hurdled towards the finish line (“Beauty and the Beast”, “Scream” and “Pretty Little Liars”). It all made for another busy week covering the Top 5 Takeaways from each of them for HiddenRemote.com and the links to all of the pieces featuring the most exciting developments from this week’s episodes have been gathered in one place for your reading pleasure.

Over on Freeform’s “Pretty Little Liars” the return of Alison's (Sasha Pieterse) brother Jason (Drew Van Acker) brought some much needed drama onto the canvas. There are only 3 episodes left of Season 7A and this episode was one of the better ones. For MTV’s “Scream” it was the penultimate episode “Heavenly Creatures” that sent the show blaring to a conclusion, hardly anyone can anticipate. The CW’s cult hit “Beauty and the Beast” returned after a week-long absence for a new episode, before checking out again for another 2 weeks. Before taking another break, BATB took a chance to tie up a few loose ends – you can click here to learn what they were.

Here’s a little “Game of Thrones” bonus
The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” is on the distant horizon, which means we can all spend our time speculating over the copious amount of material we already have. Thankfully HBO is not leaving us to our own devices to pass the time. They are allowing us to vote. Yes, there is a “GoT Party” election and Hidden Remote has everything you need to know about it right here.

In this first piece, all of the candidates are broken down and weighed in on - from Jon Snow (Kit Harington) to Peter "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Why cover this particular poll? Well it has been set up by HBO so official eyeballs are focused on this one. Plus, it provides a unique peak into the “Thrones” fandom like never before. A vote for the GoT Party is a heavy hint as to whose side people are rooting for to win the Iron Throne.
