Top 10 Most-Read Posts of August 2017

The last full month of summer has drawn to a close. Believe it or not, it is almost time to exchange swimwear for scarves. Summer has flown by and hopefully, you have found some time to be entertained throughout it. Summer 2017 has been a big one for TV.

Between the blink-and-you-missed-it seventh season of “Game of Thrones” and the launch of USA’s enthralling summer thriller “The Sinner,” there has been no shortage of great new television. While TV seemed to dominate entertainment chatter, Eclectic Pop’s readers continued to find time for film and TV-related content last month. Without further ado, let’s soak in Eclectic Pop's Top 10 most-read posts of August 2017.

Top 10 Highlight:

While this highlight is usually given to the first place finisher, the post that came in seventh place deserves a shout-out. August marks the fifth consecutive month that the “must-see” review for the outstanding Turkish film “Sadece Sen” has landed in the Top 10.

The popularity of this review is exciting for many reasons. The most prominent being that this is such a great movie and it is nice to know there has been considerable interest in it over the past five months. This gem is still streaming on Netflix and it is worth checking out if you still have not gotten around to it. You will not be disappointed.

Fun Fact Stats:

-The Writing About feature on Netflix's "The OA" makes its second consecutive appearance in the Top 10.

-With the second season of ITV/PBS’ “Victoria” premiering in the UK, it was time to re-promote Eclectic Pop’s comparative review of Season 1 on social media. The result was a readership jolt that super-charged the feature to a fourth-place finish in August.
  
-With only a single day under its belt since being published, the review for "Before I Fall" managed to crack the Top 10.

-While hoping to publish it in August, the review of my favorite film of 2017 (so far) ended up having to wait. With any luck, it should be published soon.
