Writing About: 'Poldark' Season 3 + 'Game of Thrones' Season 8

What do “Poldark” and “Game of Thrones” have in common? Besides both series being costume dramas, I have been writing about both of them on the Inquisitr.

“Poldark” Season 3 begins airing on PBS Masterpiece on October 1 and “Game of Thrones” recently ended its seventh season. While both series are in different places in their run, writing about them has been easy to do, as can be seen in previous Writing About features.

Stay tuned to Eclectic Pop’s Twitter page because I will be publishing a lot of articles about “Poldark” Season 3, including recaps, reviews, and opinion pieces and sharing them on there. So if you love the series, @EclecticPop is the place to be.

So without further ado, here is what I have been writing in anticipation of “Poldark” and “Game of Thrones” returns. The links to read are in blue.

“Poldark” Season 3

The promotional images for Season 3 give you a taste of what to expect as the new season begins. In this article, you can see Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson), Ross (Aidan Turner), Elizabeth (Heida Reed) and more.

The feature image gives you a great impression of the season to come; Ross and Demelza on different wavelengths. George (Jack Farthing) also makes a strong showing in the promo pictures for Episode 1. Out of the seven images that were released, Warleggan is in three of them.

When Season 2 ended, Ross and Demelza’s marriage was not in the best shape. This fan has a myriad of wishes for the beleaguered couple, so narrowing them down was no easy task.

Ross and Demelza’s relationship is complicated when Season 3 begins and the wish mentioned would definitely help heal it. Other hopes addressed involve the new cast members and the darker vibe of the new season.

What’s next for Ross and Demelza? Some mild spoilers help explain their Season 3 trajectory, as well as George, Caroline (Gabriella Wilde), and Dwight’s (Luke Norris).

“Poldark” previews

For a more spoiler-based preview, there is this aforementioned article and for a totally spoiler-free guide to Episode 1, there is this. In the latter article, the new cast members and their roles are discussed, as well as the premiere's air date, and official episode synopsis.

This piece was especially fun to pen because it involves bits of trivia. Plus, it is always an interesting challenge to tiptoe around spoilers. “Game of Thrones” Season 8

Season 7 just ended and speculation is already underway. As previously stated, writing theories for “Game of Thrones” is always an exciting endeavor. With so many characters and the endgame so close, there is a lot to write about.

Be warned, spoilers for Season 7 are getting ready to be discussed…

One of the biggest theories for Season 8 involves the eventful final moments of the Season 7 finale. Yes, despite a lot of personal hopes to the contrary, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) became intimate in the finale, which means the drama is only beginning for these two.

The major question is rather obvious; will Jon and Daenerys have a baby? The evidence to support the theory is quite frankly, overwhelming.

Even with all of the major clues that are analyzed, there is even more to support it, than is explained in this initial post theorizing on the topic. So stay tuned for that. Hint: It includes a sort of “springboard” theory that entails the final endgame.

“Game of Thrones” Season 8 and Tyrion

If you thought Tyrion’s storyline in Season 7 was underwhelming, you are not alone. So what is next for Tyrion Lannister? Will Season 8 correct his current path? This article aims to answer what exact path he is on and how it will ultimately resolve itself.

Will Tyrion ever find romance again? Will that occur when he reunites with Sansa? Or is Tyrion yet another man with an unrequited love for Daenerys? There is a lot of potential ground to cover with Tyrion and this article tries to tackle a lot of it.

Find out what happens with Tyrion when “Game of Thrones” Season 8 premieres on HBO. The final season is expected to air as early as 2018 and as late as 2019. The good news is the wait for “Poldark” Season 3 will be much shorter. The new season premiere on PBS Masterpiece, October 1.
